About Us

Oklahoma Tamil Sangam is a non-profit, non-political, and non-partisan organization. It has been serving the Tamil speaking population of Oklahoma since 1988. It was started as a group for like-minded Tamils to socialize and has grown into a strong organization of what it is now.

The organization’s aim is to preserve and promote Tamil culture, arts, language and literary heritage in Oklahoma. The organization conducts multiple events each year to bring the local communities based in the metro areas of Tulsa, Stillwater, Bartlesville, Oklahoma City and other cities together, and is committed to encouraging local talent and providing a stage for them to exhibit their creativity.

The organization assists those who are new to Oklahoma to get them settled in and also provides guidance in emergency situations. It is also involved in social welfare activities and fundraising to support disaster relief efforts in the USA and India

ஓக்லஹோமா தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் ஒரு இலாபநோக்கமற்ற, அரசியல் மற்றும் கட்சி சார்பற்ற நிறுவனம். இந்நிறுவனம் தமிழ் மொழி பேசும் மக்களுக்காக தொடர்ந்து 1988 முதல் தன சேவையை செய்து வருகிறது. முதலில் ஒற்றைச் சிந்தனை கொண்ட தமிழ் மக்களால் கூடி பழக உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இந்நிறுவனம் இன்று மிக வலிமையான நிறுவனமாக கட்டமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தமிழ்க் கலாச்சாரம், பண்பாடு, கலை, மொழி மற்றும் அதன் இலக்கிய பாரம்பரியத்தை பேணிப் பாதுகாப்பதும், ஊக்குவிப்பதும் மட்டுமே இந்நிறுவனத்தின் குறிக்கோளாகும். இந்நிறுவனம் ஓக்லஹோமா மாநிலத்தின் Tulsa, Stillwater, Bartesville, Oklahoma City போன்ற நகரங்களில் வசிக்கும் தமிழ்ச் சமூகத்திற்காக ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் பல நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நடத்துவது மட்டுமன்றி அவர்களுது திறமையும் படைப்பாற்றலையும் வெளிகொணர மேடை அமைத்து தருகிறது.

இந்நிறுவனம் ஓக்லஹோமாவிற்கு புதிதாக குடியேறும் மக்களுக்கு தங்க உதவியும், அவசரமான சூழ்நிலைகளில் அவர்களுக்கு தகுந்த வழிகாட்டுதலும்
வழங்கி வருகிறது. இதுமட்டுமின்றி இந்நிறுவனம் சமூக நலனுக்கான செயல்பாடுகளிலும், அமெரிக்காவிலும் இந்தியாவிலும் பேரழிவு ஏற்படும் களங்களில் நிதி திரட்டி தன்னால் முடிந்த வரை துயர் நீக்கவும் தொடர்ந்து செயல்பட்டுவருகிறது.
